Selling without internet (phone app)

The phone app keeps working when the internet goes. Sales and payments are saved on the phone and sent to the shop by themselves when the internet is back. The website on a computer needs the internet.

What works without internet

  • Making sales (money is taken as cash).
  • Receiving cash payments from customers.
  • Searching items and customers, and seeing balances from the last sync.

What needs the internet

  • Purchases and paying suppliers.
  • Returns, editing and cancelling bills.
  • Recent bills, reports, and adding or changing items.
  • Bank, JazzCash or cheque payments.

How unsent bills are sent

  1. Without internet, a sale saves as Saved on this phone.
  2. The Home screen shows how many sales or payments are waiting to be sent.
  3. When the internet is back, they are sent by themselves. To send now, tap More → Sync now.
  4. To see each one, open More → Unsynced bills.

Tips

  • Sending again never makes a duplicate bill.
  • Connect at least once every few days. A phone that stays offline too long becomes read-only until it syncs.
  • Before the first offline sale, the phone must sync with the shop once while online.

Don't lose unsent bills

Unsent sales live only on this phone until they are sent. Don't clear the app's data, uninstall the app or reset the phone while Unsynced bills has entries. If you log out, choose Keep and log out — they are sent the next time the same account logs in on this phone.

Common problems

A bill shows “Not accepted”
What to do: Open Unsynced bills to see why. Fix the reason (e.g. stock or credit limit), then tap Retry.
“This entry is from an earlier day…”
What to do: Ask the owner for the “Enter past date” permission and tap Retry, or use Send with today's date (a note keeps the real day).
“That day's cash is already closed”
What to do: Ask the owner or manager, or use Send with today's date.
