Aarhat (commission agent)
An aarhti sells a zamindar's produce to beoparis and keeps a commission. In Zevox a lot is what the zamindar brought; each sale goes in the beopari's khata; the patti takes your commission and the deductions off the sales and puts the net in the zamindar's khata. None of this is the shop's own sale, stock or profit. Money then moves with ordinary payments. These screens are on the website.
Switch it on
On the computer (website)
- Open Settings → Business & features.
- Tick Commission agent (aarhat) and tap Save.
Tips
- Zamindars are suppliers and beoparis are customers in Zevox.
Make a lot
On the computer (website)
- Open Bills → Aarhat (lots) and tap New lot.
- Choose the zamindar (or tap + New zamindar), type the crop, the quantity and its unit (bori, crate, peti…) and the weight in kg if you know it.
- Tap Save lot. The lot's page opens.
Sell to beoparis
On the computer (website)
- On the lot's page, under Sell to a beopari, choose the beopari.
- Type the quantity, the weight in kg and the rate, and choose Rate per unit, maund (40 kg) or kg. The amount shows as you type.
- Tap Save sale. The amount goes in the beopari's khata. Sell the rest to others the same way.
Tips
- A sale can be cancelled from its row while the lot is open; the amount comes off the beopari's khata.
Make the patti
On the computer (website)
- On the lot's page tap Make patti.
- Type your Commission %, and add each deduction — mazdoori, market fee, bardana, kiraya or other — with its amount. The net to the zamindar shows at once.
- Tap Make patti. The net goes in the zamindar's khata and the lot is settled.
- Tap Print patti or WhatsApp patti to give it to the zamindar.
Tips
- Advances to a zamindar are ordinary payments out; the patti then settles them in his khata.
- Cancel patti takes the net off his khata and opens the lot again, so sales can be changed.
Aarhat report
Open Money → Aarhat report and pick the dates: what was sold for zamindars, the commission you earned, the deductions by head and the net to zamindars.
Common problems
- “Only … left” on a sale
- What to do: The lot has less left than you typed. Check the quantity.
- “… already has a patti” or “… is settled”
- What to do: The lot is settled. Cancel its patti to sell more or change its sales.
- “Nothing of … is sold yet”
- What to do: Sell something from the lot before making the patti.
- “… is a customer — a grower is a supplier”
- What to do: Zamindars are suppliers. Change the party's type to Supplier or Both.
- Aarhat isn't in the menu
- What to do: Switch on Commission agent (aarhat) in Settings → Business & features.
