Shop PIN, app lock and passwords
There are two PINs. Your shop PIN (set in Settings → My account) unlocks sensitive screens on every device. The app PIN is only for one phone — it locks the whole app on that phone.
What the shop PIN protects
With Ask for PIN on sensitive screens on (Settings → Bills & rules → Security), Zevox asks for the PIN before purchases, profit, settings, staff and cancelling bills. After you enter it, it stays unlocked for the minutes set in PIN stays unlocked for (minutes).
App lock and fingerprint (phone)
- Open More → Security & alerts.
- Tap Set app PIN and type a 4–6 digit PIN twice.
- Switch on Unlock with fingerprint / face if you like.
- Choose Lock immediately, and Hide screen in recent apps to hide the shop's data in the recent apps list.
Tips
- 5 wrong app PINs log the phone out (your data stays safe on the server).
- Forgot the app PIN? Tap Forgot PIN? Log out and log in again with your password.
Forgot your password
- On the login page, tap Forgot password?.
- Type your email or mobile number and tap Send code.
- Type the code from your email and your new password twice, and save.
Tips
- Staff: the owner can reset your password in Settings → Staff → Reset password.
- Owner with no email on the account: contact Zevox support.
- A new password logs you out everywhere and removes passkeys and phone fingerprint sign-in — add them again.
Add or change your email
- Go to Settings → My account → Email.
- Tap Add email (or Change email). Type your current password if asked.
- Type the new email and tap Send code.
- Type the code from that email and tap Confirm.
Tips
- Keep an email on your account — it is how you reset a forgotten password yourself.
Lost your phone?
From any computer, log in and go to Settings → My account → Sessions → Log out everywhere. The owner can also remove the phone in Settings → Devices. Then change your password.

- Settings → Audit log shows every sensitive change: who made it, when and why.
