Print and share bills (PDF, WhatsApp)

Every bill can be printed or sent to the customer. The paper size, bill language, header and footer come from Settings → Bills & rules.

Print a bill

On the computer (website)

  1. Open the bill (from Sales, or View bill after saving).
  2. Tap Print. The print page opens in the shop's paper size.
  3. In the browser's print window, choose your printer (58 mm or 80 mm thermal, or a normal A4 printer) and print.

On the phone app

  1. After saving a sale, or on the bill screen, tap Print.
  2. The phone's print screen opens. Choose your printer and print.

Tips

  • Bluetooth thermal printers work from Android through a print-service app such as RawBT. Set the printer up in that app once.

Send a bill to the customer

On the computer (website)

  1. Open the bill and tap Share.
  2. WhatsApp sends a short bill text (total, paid, balance due) to the customer's WhatsApp.
  3. Share PDF makes a PDF of the bill to send or save.

On the phone app

  1. After saving, tap Share PDF or Share as text, then pick WhatsApp (or any app).
  2. On a saved bill's screen, Send on WhatsApp opens the customer's WhatsApp with the bill text.

Change how the bill looks

  1. Go to Settings → Bills & rules → Printed bill.
  2. Choose the Paper: Thermal 58 mm, Thermal 80 mm or A4.
  3. Choose the bill language: English, Urdu or Both.
  4. Add Text at the top and Text at the bottom (e.g. “Wholesale & Retail”, “No return without bill”).
  5. Choose Show logo on the bill and Show the customer's total khata balance on the bill, then save.

Common problems

The bill prints very small or cut
What to do: Check the Paper size in Bills & rules, and in the print window set margins to none and scale to 100%.
Nothing happens when I tap WhatsApp
What to do: WhatsApp must be installed. Save the customer's phone (or WhatsApp number) in their details.
“Couldn't make the PDF”
What to do: A very long bill may be too big for the phone. Use Print instead.
