Make a sale: cash, udhar or partial
A sale bill takes items out of stock, puts the money in the galla (or bank) and, if the customer doesn't pay in full, adds the rest to their khata by itself.
Make a bill
On the computer (website)
- Open New Sale (POS) (at phone width: + Sale at the top).
- Search the item (press F2 to jump to the search), or scan its barcode. Press Enter to add it.
- Change the quantity, unit or rate on the line if needed.
- Choose the customer at the top. Leave it as Walk-in customer for a cash customer.
- Choose how they pay (see below), then tap Save Sale (or press Ctrl + Enter).
On the phone app
- Open the Sale tab.
- Tap the customer box to choose a customer, or leave Walk-in customer.
- Search the item or tap Scan barcode. Tap the item to add it, then change the quantity or rate.
- Choose how they pay, then tap Save sale.
Cash, udhar or partial
- Full (Full paid on the phone): the customer pays the whole bill now.
- All udhar: nothing is paid now, the whole bill goes to the customer's khata.
- Partial: type what they pay now in Received now. The rest is added to their khata as udhar by itself.
Tips
- A walk-in customer must pay in full. For udhar, choose (or add) the customer first.
- If the bill crosses the customer's credit limit, Zevox warns you. Depending on your shop's setting you can tick Allow this bill over the credit limit, take more money now, or ask the owner.
Discounts and delivery charges
- Line discount: tap + discount on a line — in Rs or %.
- Bill discount: a discount on the whole bill, in Rs or %.
- Delivery / other: extra charges like delivery, added to the total.
Tips
- Discounts need the “Give discount” permission. If your role can't give one, ask the owner.
Payment methods
When money is received, choose the Payment method — Cash, Bank, JazzCash, Easypaisa or Other — and the account it goes into (e.g. galla, bank, JazzCash wallet). For anything except cash you can type the transaction ID. On the phone without internet, money is taken as cash.
After saving
You see “Sale … saved”. From there you can print the bill, share it as a PDF or on WhatsApp, or open it with View bill. Read Print and share bills.
Tips
- You can't save the same bill twice — if the internet drops while saving, saving again is safe.
- On the website, an unsaved bill is kept if you close the page by mistake; on the phone the app asks Continue the unfinished bill?

- I can't change the rate
- What to do: Your role can't change rates. Ask the owner.
